“Luz & Sombra” is a collaboration between Tulsa, OK based artist and illustrator Kathleen Neeley and Mazatl. The print was conceived as part of a residency project at El Paliacate, a cultural space and venue in San Cristobal de las Casas that Mazatl is part of. Initial sketches and concept were developed remotely over the course of several weeks, and the rest of the process—drawing, carving, printing, signing and numbering—was completed on-site during the two-week residency.
